Who is Maru?

Who is this "Maru" you keep mentioning?

That red panda you've been seeing all over MaruMori (like in our logo) is none other than Maru, your cute little study buddy!

We found her in an office chair one day, innocently munching away on some bamboo and she just... never left (and we never wanted her to). Now, she likes to help us out by pawing at the screen whenever we forget a particle or something. On the weekends, she spends most of her day having the zoomies or raiding the pantry for dried berries.

She's here to guide you through your Japanese journey and sometimes even provide moral support. You'll also often see her mentioned in the grammar lessons and reading exercises, so you can look forward to that!
