What happens after you "master" an item?

I "mastered" an item. What does that mean?

An item being mastered means you've put in so much hard work that it's now most likely part of your long-term memory and no longer needs SRS reviews! So... Congratulations on mastering an item!! Go get yourself a slice of pizza to celebrate! 🍕

That being said, you know the saying "use it or lose it"? Well, as amazing as SRS is, you still need to see it every now and again if you don't want to waste all your hard work.

Thankfully, that's easily done by reading the news or even coming across it as you're scrolling through social media. Think of it as maintenance: it's still there and it still works, but it can get rusty if you're not careful. So get out there and find some Japanese content!
